Shuai Shi, prize winning violin soloist and chamber player, associate of Royal Academy of Music, violin faculty of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, founder of Shanghai Royal Winston Institute of Music.
Shuai Shi is the top-prize winner of Jeunesses Musicales International Violin Competition, Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition, J.C.Arriaga Chamber Music Competition. She has appeared on stages around the globe, such as the Victoria Theater and Concert Hall of Singapore, the Athens Concert Hall of Romania, the National Art Center of Canada, the National Center for the Performing Arts of China, the Shanghai Concert Hall and ect.
She earned her bachelor’s degree with full scholarship from Royal Academy of Music in the UK. While in London, she won the Music Education Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund and Her Royal Highness Princess Alice’s Prize. At the Manhattan School of Music in New York, she earned her master’s degree under the guidance of Pinchas Zukerman.
Her debut recording Fauré Schumann Bartok Sonatas for Violin and Piano was released by American record label MSR Classics and has received the Silver Medal of Global Music Award for outstanding achievement duo and album. Shuai Shi worked in Zhejiang Conservatory of Music as a bring-in-talent faculty from 2014-2020. As a teacher, her students have won several violin competitions and receive many offers from major music schools around the world.
